DEUXIEME ESCALIER is the story of a friendship spanning over 25 years that evolves into a musical adventure, shaped by countless nights and vacations spent together by four childhood friends.

Since birth, these four friends have reunited every year on the beach of Pléneuf Val-André in the west of France. Not a single summer went by without the group gathering for the holidays. Their meeting point was always the same: the second of the eighteen staircases leading to the beach.

As teenagers, their marble tracks and soccer tournaments gave way to their first parties, sparking a shared passion that would never fade: playing music together. Jean and Maxime taught Arthur how to play the guitar—he had already been taking piano lessons since childhood—while Hippolyte learned the drums and played percussion on the cajón.

Things got serious in 2022 with their first official concert in front of a hundred people, the adrenaline rush of performing took hold, and after two hours on stage, the band was hooked.

Several small gigs followed, these opportunities allowed the band to gain experience in front of an ever-growing audience. In August 2024, they played their first stage concert in Pléneuf Val-André, performing for over 500 people.

By 2024, the band’s first original songs emerged, leading to the release of Breakfast with Alex, their debut EP, on March 7, 2025.
